"The experience of the river landscape provides moments of quiet reflection, solitude and contemplation. The river is literally and allegorically the source of life. It can not be stressed enough of its importance as a place of sustenance for all living things. As a metaphor for the journey of life, the river is the ever changing path. It encompasses the physical reality while reflecting an illusion of itself, thus becoming a representation of the unity of the spiritual world with our physical presence. This reflected reality brings us into a place of contemplation where we can transcend our physical reality."
